Former Rapids Wrestler,
Jake Coates, was in a very serious car accident. He sustained
some severe head injuries as well as spinal injuries. As of
right now he remains in ICU at St. Joseph's Hospital in
Marshfield. For more information go to the "Guestbook"
for regular updates from Kathy Benitz. The Wrestling Club has
set up an account in Jakes name at the Wood County National Bank in
Wisconsin Rapids, WI for anyone wishing to support the Coates family
with cash donations. Just stop by any WCNB location and ask to
make a deposit in the "Jake Coates Fund". If you are unable to get
to one of the bank locations but would still like to make a donation
you can email benitz@calemax.com
and make arrangements to do so. These donations will be
used by the Coates family for various expenses during this time of
need. (Medical expenses, long term care needs, lost wages,
gas/travel expenses, meals, etc.) This situation has turned their
lives upside down and will most certainly have economic impacts.
Also, The wrestling family will be starting a raffle to help the
Coates family, we have received a few nice donations to be raffled
off and are looking for a few more, if anyone would like to donate a
prize please email Scott or Paula Tesch at
teschps@wctc.net or call and
leave a message at 424-4864. If you are unable to help out
financially, please keep Jake and his family in your thoughts and
prayers. Prayer can be a powerful thing and will certainly
help Jake and his family get through this.
