Rapids Club

The Rapids Club meets every Monday and Thursday at 6:00 pm in the Lincoln High School wrestling room . We will have much more club info as the season progresses.

The Rapids Club went to the Neenah Youth Tournament on January 3rd and placed 3rd as a team.

The Rapids Club went to Nekoosa on January 10th and placed 3rd as a team.

Wisconsin Wrestling Federation Regionals were held at 8 sites around the state on Sat., March 9th, with the top two wrestlers in each weight class qualifying for the State Kids Folkstyle Tournament at the Alliant Center in Madison on March 26 & 27.
Rapids Wrestling Club members placing first were Cale Benitz, Wyler Lubeck, Austin Eswein, Bergh Diebel, Jared Lenz, Patrick Spray, Austin Goodenough, Brock Benitz, Cody Abel and Beau Thompson.  Runners-up were Aden Elsen, Jordon Little, Chance Bailey, Kody Thistle, Sam Campbell, Peyton Einerson, Trevor Weidman, Ethan Mercer and Ray Blossfield.  Also placing were Max Benitz, Logan Goodenough, Bryson Einerson, Tyler Dammann, Nathan Scheunemann, Mason Roseno, Jared Munoz, Matrix Jisko, Dylan Hall, Nathan Freund, Jake Timm, Nathan Fuller, Ryan Duxbury, Brady Weidman, Cody Lutz, Robert Moran and Scott Moen.

If you haven't had the chance to see these young men wrestle, the Kids State Tournament is an excellent opportunity. It's huge tournament and a lot of fun to attend. It's also one more chance to support the future of Rapids Wrestling.

On April 24th & 25th the State Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships were held in the LHS fieldhouse.  Over 1200 wrestlers, including 32 from the Rapids Wrestling Club competed on 12 mats over the 2 days.
